    Default Ft loudon 6/6/15 Report

Caught a few pulling cranks in poland creek. This was my third or fourth time pulling cranks, and I'm starting to get the hang of it. I can tell I definitely wasn't going fast enough the first few times. I caught all four crappie on one color and all white bass on another color. I told my wife, "see honey, that's why I need a bunch more of these crankbaits. I'm just not prepared."

If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away.

Congrats on the day. Did you catch the bass on pink ?
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

No, all the bass were on white with a chartreuse top and all the crappie were on a natural colored on. Baby shad I think.

Oh, of course not! I have a better excuse now, though. I went by myself the next day and while I was in Weigel's getting oil and some drinks, someone stole my tackle box out of my boat. Guess she'll have to let me buy some stuff now.

Someone stealing your tackle box sucks. Which Weigels was it where that happened??

It was on Middlebrook Pike. The one at the Middlebrook/Lovell Rd intersection. I live about a mile from there.
I had all my rods stolen years ago at a Mexican restaurant in Oak Ridge, but that was my fault for parking the boat where I couldn't see it and they weren't locked up. I was only in Weigel's for a few minutes and it was gone.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck. We fishermen have alot of money tied up in tackle. Hope the guy that stole it gets a treble hook stuck in his behind. Seems like thieves are everywhere and getting worse! Best wishes and Good Luck fishing!
