    Default Reelfoot 5-24-15 Report

Overall, we had a good time today. We were late getting home from Big Sandy last night, so we didn't get an early start as planned. Put in at Kirby pocket. We fished in the pads and the trees with better luck in the trees. Best depth was 4 - 5 fow and we were fishing crickets. Had to anchor at every spot because it was so windy. Caught some nice bream. At one point, I thought I'd got hung up only to find a big ole bass on the end of my line. He got off right at the boat. As I was backing the trailer down the ramp, Paul noticed something wasn't right. Sure enough, a wheel bearing had shot craps. We limped into Tiptonville on a wobbly wheel and ended up with a whole new hub assembly. Paul can explain it better than me, but suffice it to say, it was a mess. Thank goodness for an open shop on Sunday afternoon, a nice man with a big hammer willing to help us out and Cody (Triton 20) for recommending the shop and letting us leave our boat at his place if we needed to.
