I'll smoke just about anything (in my smoker)
The fishing is always great. The catching varies.
I caught two 8" crappie fishing trees at Eagle's Nest area last and threw them back of course. I wouldn't plan on catching a lot of crappie at Reelfoot, fishing for bream is probably a better goal. If you happen to catch a crappie then you can say you did better than expected!
I haven't heard a good report in a couple of weeks!! Its been hit or miss for most and mostly miss from the guys that I have talked to. Heard better reports coming from a couple of the watersheds close to the lake, might want to check them out..

what is the bream bite like on reelfoot lately ??? any help appreciated
Lilly pads from what I've heard. Haven't been in a few weeks. Just has not been good enough to make me stay so I've been slaying them on Kentucky lake. Might make my way up Saturday
Here's what we did. Spider rigged with jigs and minnows. It was slow but we managed 18 first day overcast with an east wind.
Next day a front was coming from the south and it drove us off the water with a thunderstorm about 3 PM, had 6 fish, one channel cat.
Not a bad trip.
