Where to get minnows?
Hi, I'm looking for the best place to buy minnows in Paris, tn. I went to the tackle box to get some a few fays ago...WORSE MINNOWS EVER!!!! They were so small I couldn't get them on the hook. They sell by the dozen, I can see why, because if I got a half a pound I would have a thousand minnows!! Sorry for the rant...anyway does anyone know of a good bait shop for minnows, thanks.

Country junction Store or JBs market in Paris if you put in at Britton Ford or Pumphouse. That is all I know. I don't go out of my way for minners.

There's a gas station on 79 beside pizza pro it has a restaurant also, they sell by the dozen I think 1.50 a dozen ask for three and you will get five or six.

Mansard Island minnows are $5.00 per 1/4lb. That will give you about 4 dozen minnows. That's not too high.Originally Posted by tim2deep

There is Ford's on 79 highway in the big curve toward paris landing. Mrs. Ford sells them 3 dozen for a $1. But if you ask for 3 dozen, you are going to get 3 dozen because she counts everyone that she gives you. Sweet little lady though, or depending on where you are coming from, if you are going through Milan, you can go by Ed Davis Fish Farm. Not sure about this year, but last year they were $7 a pound, and they have small, medium, and large minnows, plus Rosie Reds. They will put them in a plastic bag and fill with pure oxygen and we just dump into our engel bait cooler once we get to the cabin.
