Chickamauga Lake Crappie 4-24-2015
We leisurely began fishing about 10:00 am this morning. Fished the middle of the day away. We checked various spots and tested some of them. The water temp. was 63* when we began and 66* when we finished. Most of the water was stained/muddy. The sky was blue with a few white clouds. The air temp was pleasant. Shirt sleeve weather.
Most of the fish we caught came out of deep water. Perhaps some at 10' deep in 15' to 20' FOW and other spots we fished the Crappie were just hugging the bottom (25' FOW).
Doug caught his PB Crappie a fat 13-1/4" Black Crappie. It was so fat you could have put a saddle on it! lol
By the end of our trip we caught 18 with 12 keepers. BGBS Ghastly minnow on either 1/32 oz or 1/16 oz.

Life is good. Fishing is better.
