U all need to come up and fish the new lake here. It is 3 years old. It is nice. I haven't fish it yet, but gonna give it a shot this year.
Brenda and I have been paying on this lake a long time (wheel tax). If I don't catch fish, I am gonna protest for a tax rebate.
Check it out. I am doing my civic duty.
Carroll County Lake Project
CP , I fished it once last year and loved it.
Yep, they were locked up tight. Went to Dick's. They didn't have squat. Ended up at Cheddars for supper and then on to Kroger and WalMart. Typical Saturday night!
Crappie should be 10 inch this year. Caught over 60 bass on a roadrunner the day I fished it.
Hey Cane Pole I've caught done real nice Shell c
Shellcrackers and bluegill the last two years but haven't tried crappie yet.
I live about 5 miles from the lake. I have been using the lake to test out the pondtoon I put together. It is a perfect lake for my pondtoon.
Any good size on the gills and crackers?
Oh yeah. I caught some small crappie while trolling between beds. I just figured they needed a little more time to get some size to em.
We fished the new lake once last year and caught a ton of crappie, but they were all short. It was a lot of fun though. We'll go back again for sure.
I believe 20 crackers would fill my plate today. What is there lake fee's for out of county folks ?

Thanks for the information Cane Pole, I might have to go there when the weather breaks a little. One other thing, what wind direction do you need to watch out for over there?
The lake orientation is NNW. Winds from the north or northwest would be tough I would guess.
Ok, thanks again Cane Pole.

You boys make a man wish he was back home. My parents grew up in Lauradale county so I cut my teeth on fishing the backwaters and oxbows of the Mississippi. Now I live in Kentucky near Dale Hollow Lake and fish the clear deep waters of Dale and Lake Cumberland. Sure do miss those Cypress trees tho.
Memohis TN here.,, I fish mostly Arkabutla and sardis, but would love to try some lakes here in Tennessee if anyone knows of anywhere to fish nearby Memphis,,,, I definately would love to try Reelfoot someday, but people tell me that fiberglass boats don't do well there,,,, any truth to that?
