I lived in Johnson City for four years when I went to ETSU. I fished most of the lakes up there, but never for crappie. I won't be much help on that but I can tell you that Watauga is the cleanest and Boone lake is nasty.

I just moved to the Kingsport area and was wondering if anyone fished Patrick Henry? I have fished out at warriors state park from the bank but haven't found any crappie. If anyone could help me I would appreciate it. Happy fishing all!

If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away.
Yeah I didn't move far used to live in Bristol, VA but I don't have any idea where to find crappie on Patrick Henry... I am hoping to try Douglas soon but Patrick Henry is so close... Ty for responding glad someone is semi close
I did do a quick google search of "ft patrick henry crappie." Didn't come back much, but there was two threads from this site. One didn't really have any responses but the other mentioned catching some in February on minnows.
Unrelated but I studied broadcasting at ETSU, I worked at WCYB channel 5 there in Bristol for a while. I like that area a lot.

i have lived here my whole life and never really done any good on crappie on ft patrick henry.... i know it is fished to death through the spring and summer... bass fishing is fair out there.... but crappie fishing is almost none.... i know there is a few guys out there that catch them from the bank in the marina off of brush piles but that every once in awhile..... i would love to learn how to catch them out there!!!
There is def not a shortage of Christmas trees out there lol... I figured they would congregate around those sunken trees but then again I'm not certain where all the trees are... I wonder if there is something I can find showing where the brush piles are since I believe the state puts them in there
TWRA gives the gps coordinates for attractors they have placed back to 2010. According to that, the last thing they did in FP Henry was "400 Christmas trees attached to pier" back in 2010.
