What area would b the best bet for some big gills
Kirby's pocket or the north end up by Greys Camp?
    Trees or pads ?
    Thanks in advance

Was there two weeks ago, caught a lot of gills on the north end in front of greys in the Pads. Several crappie as well. Hope that helps.

Lake was packed all weekend and I did not talk to anyone having much luck. Skeeters tried their best to carry me away no matter how much or what type bug spray I had on including a combination of all four. All I managed to catch were about 20 small sunfish and only a couple of smallish gills. I was using crickets. The few that were catching some were mostly using jigs. There is a bluegill tournament there next weekend so maybe those that know how can tell how to catch them there. I spent Sunday morning trolling 100 series Bandits and caught several small cats and a bunch of drum. Only got hung up twice and both times got the lure back.

I talked with a guy this morning that fishes at the Pro level and fishes the Foot a lot and he had zero gills this past weekend also. Just have to get lucky and be at the right place at the right time it seems.

My dad and I had about 25 Saturday. Most were from one small area we happened upon. It was not fast and crickets seemed to produce more bites than hair jigs with waxworms. Most were from the trees about 3 ft deep, but a few were from the lilypads and did see a couple of folks catch a few in the pads as well. Ready to go back.
