    Default Big Sandy Area?

Planning on coming up Saturday thru Tuesday to do a lil crappie fishing, first trip this year was wondering if they were still spawning or if they have done their thing and moved back off the beds. Haven't seen many reports lately and was just wondering, thanks for any info

Leave the boat up and save gas. You can't catch 'em anywho.

Thanks for the replies guys, I had a buddy that fished shallow mats in the swamp creek and cow pasture areas with no luck. He ended up goin towards country junction trollin jigs tipped with a minnow and caught 12 keepers and a few shorts. Not enough good reports for me to drive that far when I can go to reelfoot and catch a mess. Maybe the wife and I will get to come up memorial day weekend and get a few hours of fishing in....

Brenda and I stopped by the pumphouse to count boats. There were a bunch of small craft trailers in the park lot. Most were fishing the dewatering area behind the dam/dyke.

I wanted to just hook up my Jon Boat and go join them, but I am on my way to the VA via Tunica. Hard times.

Hope everything is ok CP... I fished the buck brush behind the dyke a few years back and we killed them, but either last year or year before we didnt even catch enough for a mess and dang snakes where everywhere. I fished reelfoot today and it was tough as usual this year, beautiful day but the fish just would not have it. Ended the day with twelve good fish trollin minnows in 8 foot of water five foot down...
