Thread: Shellcrackers

Any one catching any on ky lake yet , paris landing area and to the south of there

Im waiting to hear myself. Going to KY lake in a few weeks to fish.

I live up in Dover Tn..just down the road from Ky lake and Lake Barkley... I usually mark May 15th as a date to begin fishing really hard for them. Depending on the weather give or take a day or two. Works for me.

I talked to a guy this morning that was buying a bunch of crickets and he said that he has been fishing behind the pumphouse and every time he cast one of them crickets in he would catch a dagum crappie and maybe one out of every ten fish that he caught would be a blue gill.But no shellcrackers. I couldn't get past the part where he was calling them crappies dagum crappies,like they were driving him crazy. That would be one of those other folks trash is other folks treasure kinda of deals. But I am chomping at the bit to get into them shellcrackers too.
