Lynn and I arrived at Normandy about 9:30. It was already crowded with warm winds blowing from the south about 10-15 mostly sunny. Water temp 58-60. Winds got up about 20-25. That made it a little tough. Everywhere we went there was someone already fishing there. Never realized how small Normandy was until you put that many people on it. Everyone fishing for crappie. We fished for about 5 hours and only managed to pull 6 keepers with a catfish and a beat up 16 inch largemouth that gave Lynn a good fight. I caught a few crappie that I would have sworn were bigger then they were. They pulled very hard but only measured 12 inch. All fish were caught in shallow water with deep water near by. Did see muddy water up in the creek channels. Did not catch any there but did get a few hits in the deeper water there. 15-20ft. When we got back to the ramp it was full of people trying to load there boats. Seems most were having trouble. We were 6th in line. There was an older couple in an aluminum boat that were loading up. The man backs the trailer into the water way to far. He pulls the boat up to the trailer and ties it off with the winch. By this time the boat has been pushed sideways by the wind. He tries to straighten it up and then he tells his wife to pull out. When she did the boat fell off the trailer sideways and dumped him and all there stuff on the ramp. He gets up and starts screaming at her like she did something. Lucky for him there was a bunch of good size boys there that had just loaded there ski boat by hand, I think there's' quit running, they picked the boat up and put it on the trailer for him. Lucky for him there were people around and he didn't get to hurt other then a scraped on the knee.
