Default Douglas - 8 Mar 2014 - Nice Day but a lot of boats

I don't normally go on Sat, but I had a friend (Harold L.) that really wanted to go and he was off from work Left the house at 6:30am (I am just 5 min from Inspiration Dock) thinking I would be there in the first 5 but they were already 15 that had put in. It's just a slate rock point where you launch your boat and they were 101 boats (Harold counted them) put in there this morning, how I don't know, this is not counting the ones from Shady Grove and Dandridge, I would estimate 200 boats were in Muddy Creek. We were rocking and rolling all morning about got run over 4 times, had to stand up and do jumping jacks for one that was talking on his cell phone and about centered my mtr, needless to say what it did to my fishing rods. But we managed to catch 30 SLAUBER KNOCKERS by 11:45am. But a really nice day fished in a long sleeve shirt by 9.Name: mini-Crappie Pic's 8 Mar 2014 007.jpg

Nice catch. Your wearing them out.

What you described is why I don't carry a pistol with me on Douglas.

I can not begin to imagine how many crappie that there must be in Douglas to keep up with that much pressure.

You can put in at swans, Douglas Lake campground or Indian Creek. If it rains
tonight you may want to consider Dandridge and run up past Indian Walk.

Didn't see 200 boats today but did see way more than normal. Winter fishing does has it's advantages.

This warm weather is going to really bring them out now.
