    How's the crappie fishing on this lake?

    It's called beech lake. But it has very good bass bluegill and catfish but the crappie are on the small side. Average fish is 8 inches and fairly thin but better fish can be found. Most of the area lakes here are the same way. Lots of fish to catch just not much size.

    They may be small but there is also no size limit to encourage population control! Expect to also catch lots of yellow bass many of which are decent sized.

    went this morning for a couple of hours and caught two fish. water was 49.6 degrees which may have had em tight lipped. tomorrows weather will change it all again. beautiful day on the water though
