Big sandy reports??

havent heard any bigsandy reports,but know a couple guys fishing the newjohnsonville area doing pretty good,been catching alot of fish fishing 8ft water depth.

My son and I fished yesterday morning from 8:30 til 12:30 and had a fair day. We started out spider rigging/trolling jigs in deeper water and didn't do that good. We then switched to single poling jigs over mats/brush piles in 10-12 ft of water and started catching a few. The bite was very light and we could only sense the bite by holding the poles, may have been the reason we were not doing that good spider rigging. We fished south of the big island up close to west sandy, the water was stained quite a bit. We did end up with several keepers, none bigger than 11 inches. Will hit the same area this Saturday.

Thanks for the replies. I'm thinking about heading that way monday or tuesday or both, and it's great to kinda know what to expect.
