one of the guys showed a prop that had skipped across the ice and it was sick. It can only get better after a day like that.

Last Saturday JohnW and I went up to Woods Res and fished for about a half a day but we should have stayed home as the fish just did not have any interest in biting what we were offering. It was pretty breezy to slightly windy that day but there were a few protected areas to hide from it which made it tolerable if the fish would have cooperated but we just couldn't find any crappie interested in what we had to offer. Water temps were 37 and 38 degrees which is pretty cold now and the entire Morris Ferry side was completely frozen over still last Saturday. Ice layer was about 1/2 inch thick still as I was shocked when I seen that but that was the case.
Thought someone may appreciate a bum report who had to stay in last week over honey do's or whatever. As far as I know, you didn't miss anything. I do admit though, its not always about the catching but that does seem to make the day just a bit more fun.![]()

No fish and freezing my but off does not sound like fun. I did not miss anything for sure. Will wait till I don't have to break ice to get out.
The weather/temp. is supposed to around 50* both Sat. and Sun. I finally have a open window to go fishing. Sorry about your slow catching day but sometimes it is just good to get out of the house. Cabin fever and all! lol
Life is good. Fishing is better.
