I stayed at Eagles Nest a couple of years ago. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend them.
Acorn point was built and set up to be a nursing home and when that didn't do well they changed the decorations and started catering to sportsmen. The first and only time I stayed there was back in 08 and the crazy old lady that owns/operates/manages the place got on my neves so bad ill never go back. She lives in one of the rooms along with her husband (who was very nice) as did her late 20's degenerate looking son. The place had a for real bates motel feel about it.
I have stayed at eagles nest 4 times. 2 in the motel, 1 clubhouse across from the motel and a mobile home one year. No complaints at all. Good people, guides were quick to offer advice, rooms are clean. The motel is a little dated but well maintained.
I have stayed at Acorn point a couple of times regardless of what the post above says Mrs. Natalie is a very sweet old lady, her husband passed away a couple of years ago and her son has been helping her, with that being said she really can't keep up with it and it is not the cleanest anymore or very well maintained. I would recommend Cypress Point or South Shore both are clean and comfortable and priced very affordable.
Havent stayed at the others. We stay at Cypress Point. Always been clean and the people are friendly. The guys working the bait shop and boat docks are always ready to answer any questions and have good knowledge. We will be there May 1,2,and3.
