I don't like to post unless I can back it up with pix. For some reason my computer won't pull up the photobucket pix but those who know me here goes. Went to the Cottonport area with good friend Abe. Our intentions were to go after crappie but at our first stop things changed. I'd like to thank the guys who were hogging the creek mouth(room for 3 if boats if postioned rite)for parking on top of where the fish are most of the time there by causing us to go to plan B. We anchored at our second choice. pretty good flow coming down the river from The Bar. Abe started out throwing a 1/16 BG in Monkey Milk flavor. I in digging thru the rod box grabed a rod that had a slip float and hook from a previous trip and attached a fresh piece of night crawler. First cast produced a nice slab cracker as did the next 15 casts. Didn't take Abe long to get in the hunt and change rigs. He did manage 2 keeper crappie before changing. We proceeded to fill the livewell to the tune of 43 Bream and Shellies. After we were into the 35th range of the Crackers I remembered a post several weeks ago by another guy who had done well throwing a float and fly knowing the worms wouldn't much get their attention and mention this to Abe. He tied on a BG with a float and fly and began to pick up slabs. One 13 inch Blacknose that I really want to share. Ended the day 12 Crappie and 43 Cracker/ Bream for the livewell. More rain coming glad we got this one in.
