Archie and I put the boat in at sunrise and fished until 1:00 pm. After not fishing because of the rain all last week we both were ready for some fishing action!

Well, at least Archie was...he caught the first Crappie, the last Crappie and the largest
(13-3/4") Crappie today. What a show dog! lol

The Willow Fly hatch was still going on. However, only about one million were hatching out today versus 100 million last week.

We fished with BGBS Opening Night with a chartreuse tail light. We both were using 1/32 oz jigs. We caught double Crappie several times and the two Catfish were caught at the same time. (Archie has a friend that has been asking for us to bring him some Catfish).

At one point I caught a decent size White Bass. Brought that bad boy home to cook on the grill.

We ended the day with a caught/keeper ratio of almost 1 keeper out of 2 caught. Keepers caught was 30 Crappie and total caught was 69.

The water temp. in the morning was 72* and in the back of a slough at the end of the trip the water was 81*.

Most of the Crappie came off bluffs and delta structure.
