Mansard Island Resort......A Joke

We just returned from staying at Mansard Island Resort on Big Sandy and buyer be ware is all I can say. If the attitude of the owner/operator that way all the time, no thank you. It was as though you were interrupting him from doing something important all the time. I know that this is not typical "southern hospitality" because we experienced many people that live in that area that were genuinely great people. I guess we all live and learn, and it really did not matter much to us anyway since we were there to fish, but it does put a dark cloud on your day when dealing with such a jerk of an attitude. Fish on.

stayed there many times and never had an issue at all....always very helpful and never seen anyone with an attitude

I have also done business with Mansard Island on many occasions with a great experience each time. Nice folks.

We put boat in there this year. Seems run down to me. People around there always seemed friendly enough though.

He's from the North and move down here...I've stayed there on occasion for the last 15 years and he does have mood swings...I gave him a good mess of fish once and the next week his wife charged me $20 because we checked in 1 hour early! Not saying everyone from the north are rude, but he can be!

25 years ago it was a first class place. I'm sorry to hear things have changed. Hopefully there are other nice places to stay in that area now.

The guy does have a additude but he runs a first class operation.also don't be in a hurry to launch cause he won't move barrier till he's dam good and ready and don't even think of moving them yourself .all in all a nice place though.
