    Default Reelfoot 4/13/13

Fished from 7am to 5pm. In the morning the lake was like a washing machine with the boat traffic and wind shifting direction every 30 minutes but it settled down nicely in the afternoon. I spent the whole day hunting fish and did a grand tour of the lower lake. I was able to boat 25 or so fish with 15 coming home with me. Straight minnows seemed to do the trick. Fish where scattered all over the place. I think that cold spell earlier in the week really confused them and sent some back out deep. While I fished everything from 2 foot to 15 foot of water the most consistent bite I had was in 6-7 feet of water fishing about 4-5 feet deep at a fast troll. I worked really hard for the fish I caught today!
Heard reports about and saw some fish caught in the trees. I jigged them for about an hour without much luck.
Anybody want to give me some pointers on Jigging the trees?

Sounds like you did pretty good,I was out there all day too and fished 10-15fow and wound up with 9 keepers.I did hear a couple of reports that they were in the trees in about six feet of water. But not on the trees that are on the banks only the ones away from the bank.

I was there from 8-130, I tried everything different depth different set ups you name it I tried just couldn't find the bite. Guess that's why its called fishing not catching. Wound up with 2 real nice 12.5 inchers, sure best sitting inside on a gorgeous day.
