New Carroll Co. lake........I need to vent a little

Well Ive been paying a extra tax on my car tags for years and I go to fish in the lake and they are going to charge folks from Carroll co. everyone we use it.Im sorry but just ain't right.I guess I'll have to pay it but it dont mean I have to like it.Sorry I just had to vent a little

I would reckon that most folks involved with the planning of it knew there would be a charge of some sort from the start,sounds like the state put $ into it also with twra stocking the lake.The folks from out of county will be paying more also,any idea how much the state invested vs what the county did?,sounds like a country club setting for some wealthly folks that wanted lakefront homes imo ,were lucky on this end of the state to be surrounded by water & the only problem is deciding which 1 to try lol,hope they reduce or drop the fees at some point & time but like any gov when they get a hand in your pocket they never want to take it out

At least you get a $5 break. $30 for non Carroll Co residents like me.

Carrol County residents are really not getting a $5 dollar break when they are paying a $10 wheel tax on each vehicle they own each year.

I dont live in Carroll County but know and work with a bunch that do.They say someone is padding some pockets on it and are highly ticked also.

I am lost as to what a wheel tax has to do with Carroll Co lake. Was this something passed in order to build it?

Yep several years ago they added a tax on our car tags to pay for the lake.And no I didn't get to vote on this either thats what ticks me off then they want to charge me each time I use the lake

I have a free pass to the lake. Obama didn't give it to me. God allowed me to have it. It is called the over 70 pass.
