Took an old friend fishing

Got with an old pal yesterday for a few hours. Fished the Price creek area of The upper Chick. Pulled planner boards with 1/16 jigs and Bobby Garland baits in tow with Hot lips and Bluegrass in tow. Before having trolling motor issues we banged out 23 keepers and 45 shorts of which most were 6-9 inch buck crappie. Guess this is a sign that things are about over for this year as it has been the best I've seen in my lifetime. What a great fishery we have and was told by a group of 8 out of staters this week visiting that they would never go to Lake Weiss again that they were coming here. That's an honor that nobody would have dreamed 10 yrs ago.

Congrats on a good day, good report and catching with old friends, ain't life good. You all got some of the best quality fishing around. I need to get out of my zipcode one day and make the short drive down there.

Sounds like a good time in spite of the TM issues. Herewego, it's tough to drive to another lake when you're catching limits every day in your back yard
