Tellico 4/13/13
Met Rick at the Notchy Creek ramp this morning a little after 8am, we launched and headed out. Rick was fishing before I got away from the dock I think. Was too busy trying to get my %^&* sorted out to be sure. Started longlining and headed up the cove away from the dock, picked up a couple shorts real quick, then settled in and picked up a keeper. Decided to add to the mix and threw out a couple boards and settled back with my coffee and doughnuts. Picked up one more keeper soon and was hoping today was going to be a steady stream of keepers, but ended up with just the two keepers and a dozen shorts. WT was low 60's, no wind early, but picked up as the morning went along. Never got real breezy, just enough to make you pay attention to the TM. Was not too crowded either. Everyone I talked to only had 2-5 keepers, and well over a dozen shorts by some. Seems like everbody had several 9-9.5" fish, but few keepers. Fish were scattered, would see 'em on the DF, go right thru 'em and nothing happens. Don't see any for a bit and the rod goes to bouncing. Last I talked to Rick he had 3 keepers and a couple dozen shorts or more. I headed home cause I had to cut the yard. Was good seeing you Rick. Hope ya got more
GO BIG ORANGE !
I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.
