Thread: Tellico Trip

Just couldn't stand it. Had to be on the water today but somewhere different. Rick Swanson and I had try to get together for a month and today we made it. He started a little early than I but once I got there they were already in the 40's of short fish. Lot of baitfish activity and this lake is going to be a gold mine in a couple of years. Rick and Uncle Lester had to leave early but I stayed till 2:00pm and ended the day with 15 keepers and 66 shorts. If it had Orange they would hit it. Pink stuff was a close second. Trolled at various speeds in 12 to 5 ft of water. Water temp was 59 when I left. Caught 3 females that had red clay mud on their tails. Care to quess what that means.
