Thread: Carroll County Lake Google Map overlay

If you fish the lake right now they are giving everyone a decent map of the lake. I would love to have a contour or topo map however because this lake has some amazing deep channels and dropoffs in it. It was almost just as fascinating to just watch the Lowrance yesterday as much as catching all the fish.

You can take the map overlay I did on Google and mark the channels. The are very obvious when you zoom in the overlay on Google Earth. The main channel is lined with topped trees. Brenda and I watched the lake fill and I have tromped thru the area before it was flooded.

The road beds crossing the lake should be excellent spawning/fishing areas.

This is exactly how I do it since I have a garmin.

Thanks for sending me the overlay.

Do yourself a favor and look at the weather channels satelite image of the lake!!! It is from before the lake was at full pool and there are some very interesting things that show up when you zoom in and scroll around.

those dark round spots , are they brush piles or holding ponds for the brood fish?
