I went to my marina again yesterday and Got a limit of Crappie Had 2 Slabs+,Caught most on Minnows and a small jig with a yellow & white skirt.
The day started out very slow as I fished about 1 hour and didn't get a bite.I was messing around in my minnow bucket and saw a large minnow about 4 inches long so I put him on the small crappie hook and dropped him in well the float didn't have time to settle ,WhaM!! I thought it was a cat fish at first but it was a large Bass!!I placed him in a bucket of river water and kept him for a short while and got to thinking why kill that lone fish as it don't like like I will catch any thing else so I released him.Well in a few minutes I had a nice Crappie on and began to get some action,small blue gills were a problem seems they will bite when nothing else will.
I did get my limit but fished hard all day to get them they just didn't want to bite much at all.
