    Default Woods

For about three weeks now I've been fishin woods almost every day. And almost every day I am catchin a limit of mostly white crappie. For the most part I've had the lake all to my self (except for the loons) as no one else seems to be fishing there. Keeper black crappie are rare, lots of small ones but a few nice ones. 25' to 35' deep in 35 to 45 f.o.w. next to the channel and close to the trees. Been releaseing all lately got enough in the freezer.

Has there been any size to the white's? Have heard that they are not to heavy. But long and slender fish. Is that what you have been catching? Going to Tim's tomorrow to give it a try. This gives me an idea about how deep to try there. Thanks for the report.

On an average I've had to measure 3 to 5 of a 15 fish limit. Average length is about 11" with a few 12 1/2" to 13 1/2". All look healthy with fat bellies.
