It's private, you gotta know someone that lives there to get permission. I have caught a few bass on there years ago.
Try some of the Shelby Forrest lakes. They have some crappie. Glenn springs is also another option but the crappie in there are stunted and small. You can rent a boat there cheap as well
Edmond origill golf course has a public lake with decent crappie. It's near the navy base
Poplar Tree at Shelby Forest, Edmond Orgill, off Navy road! There are some huge Shell crackers and bass in Poplar Tree. I have caught some nice crappie out of there a few years back that had escaped into the lake from a private lake up above that had issues with it's spillway and they were washed down a ditch into Poplar Tree!I'm not sure if they are open in the winter months. You will need a fishing license and a lake permit and pay a small launch fee!I fished that lake for over 20 years!I went and checked and the park lake is open and you would have to go to the main office off Benjestown rd. to get permits!
