    Default woods..been missing out.

Woods is 20-25 minutes from the house and after 8 yrs I finally headed that way Thur. and Fri.

Thanks to past post and info from MTCC I had a fun day on the water for someone who has never been to that lake. Early in the morning was fishing points coming out of 9 fow going into 20 fow with jigs. When the sun got up i fished those 20' flats after trolling around and finding the bait...I then used a bottom bouncing rig with minnows. HAD A BLAST! whats up with all the stripe though lol. Had such good luck I went back Friday.

Just wanted say thanks for the help from past post. Good luck on the water.

Glad you found them slabbacks. Seems like the stripe are taking over woods. If you get the chance come and check us out MTCC. Our meetings
are at Skips Grill in Winchester. We usually always fish the 3rd Sat. of each month and our meeting is the Thursday before that. We fish Woods,
Tims or Normandy with alot of our tournaments being a lake of choice so you can fish any of the 3 lakes. Lot of good guys that enjoy crappie
fishing and will help you all they can. Would like to see you at a meeting.
You will become like those with which you associate.

GCF and bama, thanks for the invites. Already looked into MTCC and with me being off on Thur. and every other Sat. sounds like a good time.
I went over to Normandy a few weeks ago but being by myself having a deepV didnt feel like beating the bottom of the boat up. Both ramps i went to were really low...hate the sound of rock and metal lol.

Thanks for the report slabbacks. Havent been to woods in 15 years may have to get back over there soon.
There is a new floating pier at the damn ramp at Normandy. You can put in there and if you get to the front of the pier it is deep enough or it was a week ago. Maybe will see you out there sometime. Welcome to the forum and good fishing.

Oh and by the way the MTCC guys ar a real bunch of good guys. They help quite a bit and am looking foward to joining ther organization. Would not be able to attend meetings as I live to far and work late most of the time but would like to get in the tournaments and give them my money. They know how to catch crappie around here but am willing to give it a go. Maybe get to a meeting or 2.

It's located between Manchester, Tullahoma, & Whinchester. It is part of Arnold Air Force Base.
