Today, we lost a true friend and brother. Dennis "Hulio" Hulin, of Hickman, Kentucky, suffered a massive heart attack and went to be with the Lord this morning. Many of you knew him and called him friend. He left a wife, Teresa, and a daughter, Heather, along with a large family. His death is tragic and he will be missed by all, but I know that he is with Jesus now, so I also know that I will see him again someday.

Dennis loved to hunt and fish and he always loved to share this love with others. I knew of Dennis for most of my life, but I really got to know him as we served together on the local Fiscal Court beginning in 1999. In January of 2005, Dennis took me under his wing and taught me to crappie fish on Reelfoot. I could fish there for the rest of my life and never hope to be the fisherman that he was. From the point of that first trip, however, he treated me like a little brother. In my life, I have been blessed with some great friendships, but I could not ask or hope for a better friend than Dennis was to me. It is my prayer that each of you have such a friend.

Right now, I hurt to the core, missing my friend, but I know that he is in a better place than I am. Please pray for his family. They need your prayers and love now. It is my prayer that you will take the time to let your friends know what they mean to you. Also, and most importantly, if you haven't accepted Christ as your Savior, please, please don't put it off. Embrace the love of Christ and I promise that you will never regret the love that only He can give you. Our time here is short, but eternity is forever and we only get one chance at this life to live for Jesus. We don't know when God will call us home.

I miss you and I love you brother, but I know that I'll see you on the other side.

    Rick
