    Default One frustrated Hillbilly

Went to Gander Mountain today to pick-up a boat seat for my G-3. Now I didn't get the top of the line model but neither did I get El Cheapo. After installing, the first thing I done was to unsnap the snap to open it up and---- You guessed it. the snap broke. Now I do have a track record of if there is 10 Items and I pick one I'll get the lemon but has anyone got an idea to something else to use on fold down seats beside these .02 cent snaps or a bungie cord? Thanks Tenncrappie

I think you are talking about a vinyl strap that broke or pulled thru at the snap. I use black 1" wide nylon strap from Wally World in the camping section. Cut it to length and melt the ends to prevent raveling. Use a nail and heat it any pass it thru the strap where you want the screw on one end and where you want the snap on the other end. Snap kits you can find almost any where and it even comes with the rivet tool.

BPS has velco straps, with plastic hardware that screws to your seats, you can prob get them elsewhere. I installed them on mine, and they are great. They are called Stayz-down.
