The heat has been keeping me inside a lot. Been only fishing for a couple of hours in the morning. Mostly, fishing for perch but we are catching a few bass & crappie. The strange thing is the perch seem to have moved off all the normal spots. Have only found 2 spots where the perch were biting. The bite has been shutting down by 9 each trip. Also, we are using a different method. Trolling with the big motor, using big bass crankbaits with a ice fly or 1/8 spoons about 18" behind the plug. Trolling at 2.4 to 2.8 mph. Catching a lot of small ones but a good many are good size. All are ending up in hot grease.
