Does anyone have it bad like me?? I go thru periods where I have notice a rod I’m using is lacking something and search for a better rod. I’m at that stage again. I know it’s only important to SinglePole Fishermen. I was fishing cheap rods and decided to try a better rod so I went with the St. Croix 5’6”. Sweet little rod good around tight spots on docks. Loved it, but I broke 3 of them. Conclusion nice but not durable. Fishing style changed more to brush and open water. Friend recommended a Ray’s Rod 7 foot Golden Feather. It’s the lightest most sensitive rod I ever used. Super Soft tip and has a solid carbon tip which has been more durable than the St. Croix. Now I’ve started fishing open water with heavier jigs at longer distances and the GF doesn’t have enough backbone for good hook sets. I’m now I using a ACC Crappie Stix 6’6”. It is super light and comfortable with good tip and good backbone. Been using about a month and been excited about it’s performance. Gonna order another one today. I used the GF for 2 years. Hope the ACC is good for the long term. Curious to what y’all using. Ok drive me crazy with new rod suggestions. I’m easy to influence.
