Broke out the whoopin' sticks yesterday. Livescoping deep brush w/ feather jig

Had an opportunity to do some research yesterday. Was testing plastic, hair, & feather jigs in 1/32 oz. Got an early start and caught a couple on different color jigs (my Ghost pattern & one other). Tried a new jig combo I just come up with called "June Dew", and it was the ticket. I tried a hair jig in the exact color combo, but the feather jig couldn't be touched. We put a limit of keepers in the box by 9:00 am and had thrown back over 15. We then went to other structure looking for big fish to target. We found them and released a 1.78, 1.76 & three between 1.44-1.50. To be honest, the results were better than I had even hoped for. We used both a round head 1/32 and a pill head 1/32. Both caught fish, I think the round head might fall a little faster than the 1/32 pill head w/ eyes does. The livescope experience was eye opening for a troller like myself, seeing the fish's reaction (take or reject) was like watching a video game and I missed several fish watching the screen instead of my line. But I soon got the hang of it and it was a lot of fun. Until I got home and had to clean fish in the heat...lol Because I was fishing w/ someone else, I can't name the lake but it was on the SC/GA border.

I’m slowly convincing some die hard plastic guys that feather jigs can catch fish even when the bite is tough. But, you’re right, you need to be open minded enough to have different style jigs in your arsenal. Some days they may want hair or plastic. But, this year, while fishing brush..feathers have beat all of them for me.
