    Default Fish Cleaning Observation

    Cleaned 20 today. 19 were female and they had egg sac. Noticed they were bigger than last week. Had one that had a huge sac compared to the others. Wondering what others are seeing??Name: IMG_2085.jpg Views: 393 Size: 87.3 KB

    Today caught some males. All females had eggs except one. Most females were not full of eggs only a couple. Some males had started some milk. Most males had not started to milk. Saw a video from a fish biologist showed how to determine a male when cleaning fish. Very fascinating and a definite tell if male or not anytime of the year.

    Seen some with small sacks tip of pinky finger size. That girl looks like spring is right around the corner. Very interesting for sure.

    Usually start seeing them show up in small sacks, and tiny tiny tiny eggs towards end of summer, early fall.

    I cleaned @ a 13" hen this morning that looked about like the one in the picture. All I can assume is those woulda been part of the first to hit the shallows early March.
