Many old timers believe in the effects of wind direction on fishing. Saturday morning, three grown men caught only 5 fish in 3 hours. Steady breeze from the East. After a midday break, I returned to fish alone. Water temps hadn’t changed much and neither had the wind speed. The only noticeable difference was that the wind was blowing up from the South. I caught 14. The total fish count for the day was 2 bass, one catfish, one undersized crappie, and 15 keepers. Same technique both trips. Maybe there is something to the old adages.
