Taking a retirement break from ice fishing Syracuse NY area and plan to visit my kids located in Charlotte ....Mid March 19 - Early April 3.

Staying at a waterfront cottage near Bowater of Catawba Recreational Association.
Appears to be in in the Lake Wylie finger fed by Little Allison Creek

Interested in doing some panfishing for crappie, bluegills, perch or whatever with spinning UL gear.

Cottage has a few kayaks, might be possible to borrow or rent a rowboat+ electric motor.



Questions : if you can help?


1. Appears closest public launch is Ebenezer park @ 2.5 miles..pretty far ouch .
Does Bowater of Catawba Recreational Association allow rowboat trailer launch for fee or free?


2. Kayak would allow dock fishing the Little Allsion Creek finger/bay of Wylie. Would that be a location for crappies or bluegills?


3. Any tackle tips or other?


4. Crappie guides in that area?
