If any of you ever use a umbrella for shade without securing it you probably had to chase it down. Twice for me!
I used Clevis pins in my rod holder to secure mine. Simple and works.
NOTE: if your umbrella tilts make sure you orient the holes so it tilts over you.
Tractor supply has a good selection of smaller pins so you don't need a large hole in your umbrella pole.
