Handy docking tool.

Good idea Ray. I got a nice 4 foot closet dowel and some of those hooks already. Gonna make one for sure.

It works great. We had two different size hooks but I prefer the larger hook . I keep one in each end of my boat. Also works good for retrieving floating markers and wind blown hats.

They are perfect when you are alone. Everyone should have one in there boat.

Now what made you think about overboard hats? Actually I've gotten quite adept at scooping them on first pass.

I've been using one like that for years. Not for docking, but for retrieving jugs/floats while cat fishing. They're really handy for bigguns that pull the float down when you get close.
