I hadn't posted in a good while, but have been following most of what's been chatting about here tho. I don't have all the fancy gear that a lot on here do. But I seem to be able to hold my own the past 2 weeks. Some days just by myself and others with my bud or my son. Fishing around my usual ole fishing hole. With nothing but mostly minnows and some times a few jigs, we've managed to catch some really nice crappie. The last time out this week we had to quit and leave them biting. The box was filled with mostly 13" and 14" crappie and couple of bass. We were catching nice size bream on minnows too. But we were throwing those back. The crappie were just doing to well to keep the bream. It's hard to leave the fish while they're still biteing, but when you think you have the limit, it's best to quit. It't hard to beat a simple minnow and a cork some times, and a DF not required either, fishing 3 foot deep. Most days I never saw another boat.
