Boats to much for a 250, I'm thinking 300 minimum.

When I was young married I had a 14'er that same width. I used a roller and painted it hunter green (which helped to cover all the patchwork on the bottom). Aint no telling how many tons of catfish I caught those years that I fished out of it. It ran by a 6 hp Evinrude motor.

Have fun with it....and be careful! It doesn't take that much to fall out of it!

Seriously, a 15 would be plenty. They are less than 100 lb. And some can be souped up to 20 with a ignition or carb change. I have a 9.5 1967 Evenrude Sportsman on my 14 ft open Starcraft. I can carry it with one hand.
