    Default Clark Hill weekend

Well, Saturday was terrible , so we will move on to Sunday. Put in at the Little River bridge at first light yesterday. Went up a short distance but it was super muddy. Caught one long lining in first cove i tried. Went back down past the bridge to long line some channel areas. Marked lots of bait and fish. Small striper were mixed in with the crappie. Bite was really slow, but ended up with 11 keeper crappie and a couple striper. A few fish were caught casting 1/16 jig to some trees, rest were long lining. Long line bite was not good for me over the weekend. Im sure i missed some good action by not doing something different. What were some techniques that worked better over the weekend? Water was 58 yesterday in SC Little River. I will switch to 1/32 and go less than 10' on the next trip after this cold passes.

11 is a decent day on alot of other lakes, hope you find them next trip. Sounds like mud played a factor. Great to hear your catching some though kenny. Take care my friend.

I got to go for about 2.5 hrs on Saturday morning on the Hill. Finding lightly stained water was the key, and then I was surprised to catch most of my fish (all longlining) in water less than 10' deep. This in spite of temps of only 53-55°F.

I wondered that constantly. Should have re-tied all my jigs to 1/32. I tried to stay out of water less than 17' due to temps. Last year i got a limit at hartwell in 4-5' on 03/01. This year has been colder so i figured they were still deep.
