CK told me if theres lots of trash on top to run the rod tips below the surface.

Met satoma for a fishing trip and shake down cruise on the pontoon. We fished Rocky creek and buffalo creek. We pulled jigs deep and shallow with not much success. Total caught was 2 crappie and one bass and 4 perch. Fire tiger was the preferred color. Water was 54 degrees and color was good but a lot of trash in the water. Hard to keep jigs clean.

HHAHHHHAHAHAHHHAA, Sinkermaker you al must have not been holding your mouth right; all upriver from there they've been catching them for a month or more. But Rockie creek has let me down before too, not to mention buffalo and all them stripers! It'll get better.
If you don't get hung every-once-n-a-while you ain't jigg'n it right..:D

Both creeks are full of stripers and bait. Going to try trolling for them next week. I was hoping to hang a few stripes but no luck. I am going to move on up river tomorrow and try again

Im coming down again next weekend to chase some green fish. Hoping its a little cleaner. Plenty of mud washing down from greenwood.
Glad to hear y'all caught a few Mr. Don. With the water on the rise the water sure is trashy. Makes long lining a chore sure enough.
