Default Fish finder saga ends well

Looking for a reasonable prices 7" sonar/GPS I found a Hook 7X at Hodges Marine for $299.00 so I ordered it. Upon arrival I hooked it up in my shop and discovered that while it had GPS functionality there was no mapping loaded, nor was there a chip slot to add one. I contacted Hodges Marine and they offered to accept it a a return. I mailed it back on Wednesday and Friday my full price refund was back in my account. Big shout out to Hodges for fast and excellent customer service.
I found a used Hook 7 for sale locally for $225 which I thought was a bargain. It is a 2016 model and looks new.
Got it installed and up and running. It is running off my TM US2 transducer so just 2D and GPS but I have SI and DI on the console.
Like my fancy swivel mount base? Country Boy rigging for sure.Name: 20190202_160428_HDR.jpeg
