Wylie Fishing Report

Put in at Big Allison, water was stained with fair amount of floating wood. Water was clearer at the powerline Pass the power plant. Caught perch on a jigging spoon in 28-30’. Also caught 4 Crappie same depth. Had approximately 25 kept 17 perch. Was shocked the water temp was 49 deg. Wasn’t as good as Monticello but I didn’t miss the extra hour of driving. Got home in time to clean my catch before dark. Looks like filets for supper tonight. Oh, perch had eggs!!! Hadn’t cleaned any in a few weeks so I was surprised.

Thanks for the info. We will be there about 7:30 AM tomorrow. Plan on trying spoons, jigs & live minnows. May be our last chance before all the snow & sleet melt. All the run off will probally drop the temp even more. If we can find any bait balls, we will try cut perch for some cats.
