    Default Charlie's cabin

Came up Sunday for a few days. Decided to catch a few for supper if we could. 30 minutes we had 2 crappie, 2 Bass, and a nice bream.

We turned them into dinner. More later.

Looking good Ray, nothing like water to skillet dinner. They just seem to taste a little better.

Have a good time Ray the fish are starting to bite at your favorite lake. When I get back from Kentucky we will go give them a try.

Can you explain this cooking process? First thought wow that’s a lot of grease, then the water comment got me wondering.

Well, day 2 we spent some time looking for hogs but didn't spot any. I passed on a doe, just didn't feel like messing with processing plus.....the mosquitos.
Spent an hour or so at dust on his lake. Love how dark all the fish are. The little Rapala continues to catch crappie as well as bream and bass. Can't find in stores but Charlie found on line and ordered 9 of them which was all they had.

We came home Wednesday morning because the rain had come in really heavy. Charlie's family are farmers and the farm community there was hit hard by Floyd. Most cotton was lost and now with the ground already soaked they don't need more rain.
The last picture is the washout behind his cabin. Took trees and bushes with it, but missed the cabin thanks to the dike he built around it.Name: 20181008_185045.jpg
