Very glad I joined as well. It was fun and glad I caught some crappie finally. Actually was pretty happy with my results figuring I was at a disadvantage in kayak. Meet new friends and was able to donate fish to someone needing them. Thanks to all that put this together and helped.

Wow! You guys really wore my big ole butt out with getting up so early to go fishing in a foreign place. But I'm glad I did and I got to meet with some new interesting folks and see some of the familiar faces I see all the time. John Hammett and I had a great time trying to catch a few fish. We managed to get on to the catching after a couple of phone calls wanting to know what we were doing floating around out there with no one around us. We only had a couple on the long lines and missed several due to a bass fisherman on the back of the boat trying to learn how to slow down to catch a crappie. So we packed up and moved over by Uncle Remus and caught a few there and then left and moved over by the big gang of crappie thieves and caught some more that they were leaving for us to nab. I was glad to see how many folks show up on the NC side and was a little afraid that we might have to run for our lives if we won against that many guys and ladies. But it turned out alright for all of us we had a good time and plenty of making fun of each other in a fun manner. I hope we can get this many to show up on the next one which will be on Lake Wylie.
With all this mentioned about a good time and good fishing. I gave Mrs. Sandy about 40 fish yesterday evening when I got home. She will give the actual count today some time and I'll post it. Ms. Laura was in the mountains and will be home today and hers is counted after changing the cooler to a larger one to make room for lots of ice. She has 137 crappies, 2 blue gills and five catfish. Man that's a lot of cleaning. Thank you guys for all that love she will be very pleased and very tired I'm sure. I know she will give out spoons to all the kids in the neighbor hood to clean these fish. I'm going to ask her to bring John and me lunch one day this week . LOL I will post her picture for you guys to see. Hate this was so long of a post but it had to be said. Thank you all for coming out and letting me have the honor of fishing with a great bunch of guys and ladies. You are the best crowd to be around! Thank You!!!:twocents
Hope everyone made it home safely and Sinkermaker, I hate also that you had to leave due tm problems. I know you'll be back again to join in on some crappie fun!:highfive
You don't hate it as much as I did. Getting up at 2:30 and driving for 3 hrs and not even getting to wet a line really sucks. Oh well in two weeks I am driving to Kentucky to fish for 4 days so I hope everything goes okay. I enjoy fishing hi rock and hope to get up there after I get back from Kentucky. After I get my other knee done in November I should be ready for some serious fishing about February. Will try to make more trips to Wylie in the future.
