Nice morning. Cool & a good wind. Put in at the Catawba park & ran out to the first point. A can of worms saved the day since the store was out of minnows. Caught about 25 small perch for bait. Ran across the lake & started drifting. Bite was slow till about 9 when we moved down lake a little ways. Started drifting out of a cove & started catching cats. Most were channel but we did have a 20 lb flathead & about 6 blues up to about 16 lbs. Had a good many more bites but did not hook up. Lost another good cat that I did not get turned around. Probally another flathead.

Ended up with 15 cats.

I have some friends that clean them. Usually, they will have a fish fry on Thursday. Most of the time, they feed about 20 folks.
