Went out at 8 this morning. Using crappie jigs on floats and, live minnows. The bite is on at least for now. We focused on brush/ rip rap on banks all the way back in coves 2 to 5 feet. I caught the biggest crappie I have ever caught today which is not saying much because I only started recently. They are aggressive right now. If you throw on the bank and don’t get bit immediately best bet is to move along the same bank. We were finding them stacked in small groups from cover to cover. We were In crowders creek. All coves near the tall power lines “You all know where I’m talking about...” on the same side are holding plenty of fish. Go to the backs first! That’s where we have found the most.Yellow perch, white perch, crappie and catfish all mixed in currently. We have been enjoying the mixed bag, and are especially happy about the crappie turning on![]()
