My Son-in-law wanted to go fishing Thursday wind was going to be up but I said lets go any way. Morning just started to do some at Big A and not much going caught some little ones to throw back. SO I said lets make the run to BD. When we got there was I surprised. It was suppose to be at 6mph wind and get to 10 to 15 mph but it was calm. That was at 9:00. The wind did get up finally but BD held off most of wind so it was not real bad for us.

Put 4 rods down and 6 in the back long line. Fishing in 16 to 25 feet of water down rods were 3 cranks off of bottom. Long line was 1/16th at first and last couple of hours added 1/16th dropshot. Speed mostly .7 .8 Not real active seems you catch one every 10 minutes. Best color was Monkeys milk. Catching About 2/3rds were on the down rods with 1/3rd long line.
Did keep 12 crappie one was 14 inch and sent back about 10 small ones. It was good to see the small ones. Rounding out the catch was 6 perch and one kitty. The kitty was no problem getting in the boat it was getting out of the boat that was funny. Both of us were like you get it out of boat no you get it out. So we keep trying to use players to pick up kitty and get back in the water we were like two women that did not want to get our hands slimed. That cat put up a fight not wanting to go back in the water. Finally Danny grab it and toss back in the water.
Fish still had Roe in them. Something strange was the fish had no shad in bellies they have not been feeding. Especially the perch they normally have a gut full.
Good Lord blessed us with holding back the wind for us it was a great morning.
